Health & Social Care qualifications

The City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care has been specially designed for anyone working either in the social care or health care sector who wishes to develop their skills or gain a formal recognition of their existing skills in adult care.

The City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care meets the needs of learners who are employed in a social care role.

This qualification will provide the opportunity to develop a broad skill set that will facilitate progression in the workplace
and or onto further learning and training. With the inclusion of a range of optional units the learner can tailor their Diploma to suit their individual role and the needs of their employer.

To help your staff develop a tailored programmewhich meets their specific needs, learners will have an initial assessment interview with their assigned assessor before they get started on their qualification. This assessment interview looks at what their current role is, analyses their skills, and then identifies the most relevant optional units for them to take.

There are three Pathways:

  1. Generic Pathway
  2. Dementia Pathway
  3. Adults with Learning Disabilities

Health & Social Care Level 3 Information Flyer

The City & Guilds Level 5 QCF in Health & Social Care has been specially designed for those working in social care or health care sector who wishes to develop their skills or gain a formal recognition of their existing skills in adult care. This level will suit you if you are responsible for running a facility that provides services for vulnerable children, adults or both.  You might be
an assistant or deputy manager, or a manager who has not yet achieved a recognised vocational qualification at this level.

To help individuals develop a tailored programme which meets their specific needs, learners will have an initial assessment interview with their assigned assessor before they get started on their qualification.

This assessment interview looks at what their current role is, analyses their skills, and then identifies the most relevant optional units for them to take.

There are two paths that can be taken for this qualification dependent on the learners job role/sector these are:

  • Children and Young People’s Management with eleven mandatory units
  • Adults’ Residential Management with twelve
    mandatory units
